Visco Memory Foam Mattress Choices

Visco-elastic memory foam mattresses continue to gain in popularity. Increased comfort, the hypoallergenic material, and durability are some of the reasons people prefer them over traditional coil spring mattresses. There are several brands available and different choices make it important that you do a little research before making the investment.

The name may sound confusing but visco memory foam mattresses get their name from the visco-elastic foam material they are made from. The memory foam material was originally developed by NASA as a seat cushion for astronauts because of its ability to perform under the intense g-forces associated with space travel. The foam is pressure and temperature sensitive which allows it to easily conform your body's shape without increasing pressure. This is what makes it so comfortable and reduces stress on your joints, back and neck.

Visco memory foam double mattresses a usually more expensive than traditional mattresses but they may last longer and are resistant to dust mites that accumulate on standard fabric mattresses and are a major cause of allergies.

A less expensive solution to buying the visco foam mattress is to get a memory foam topper or mattress pad. Toppers are designed to lie on top of an existing mattress and offer an upgrade to the comfort of visco-elastic foam at a considerable savings.

  1. For anyone with degenerative disc problems in the back or neck, I highly recommend a Visco Memory Foam Mattress and Visco foam pillows. They simply do a better job holding your joints in place and keeping the pressure off the pressure points. The memory foam molds and shapes to your body, size and weight, so you get the support and comfort you need.
